Brian,
All I can say is "WOW!". As you know, I am always on this site checking out all of yours and Chris's beautiful work, and I've never commented before, but in my unsolicited opinion, this bike has to be one of, if not THE, best builds you have ever designed and crafted! In the past few days, I've come back several times to view the slide show over and over again. It honestly reminds me of a Rene Herse build.
I can really appreciate the time and care that you put into all of the details. That fender mount in the fork crown/steerer tube, the chain hanger peg, the seat stay eyes, the rear derailleur cable guide on the chainstay, all four of the drop-outs, the lug carving, the bridges, the fender and rack mounts, etc., etc! Not to mention the paint and graphics! Great job!

P.S. Ask Dave if he could let you hang onto it for a little while longer so you could display it at the NA Handmade Bicycle Show in a few months! And if you haven't already, suggest to Dave to order from you a custom stem and a custom pair of touring racks for his new bike also.
