I can feel it… March 25, 2008
It’s all so exciting. The next few weeks hold a lot of things I get all giddy about. On the whole, April is going to be one, if nothing else, busy month. On the 6th is our alley-cat here. The weekend after, Nathalie and I drive up to Philly to look for a house and some jobs. On that same trip, I go and meet the rest of the Rapha Continental East team for dinner and our first ride together through the Catskills. (I’ll show them some cat’s skills.)
This is all so exciting. A new house to live in, some new friends mixed in with the great ones I already know, and some fancy new cycling clothes and a bike from Chris Igleheart to boot.
And while I’m on the subject of bikes, Christopher’s bikes are simply amazing. They have so much of the understated nuance that I find truly sets builders apart. He’s got a geat eye for design, and seems to know where that fine line is between flashy and gaudy, and elegant and over the top. Not to mention quite the pedigree when it comes to building the actual bike. His craftsmanship is second to none. It is no secret that I am incredibly excited to receive one of his frames for this team.
Well, time to get ready for the evening ride down here. It’s a gorgeous 75 degrees and sunny, I’d be crazy to waste all day typing.
Being part of the Rapha Continental Team is fucking awesome! I can not wait to read about the east coast series of epic rides!
That was a terrible pun, if I do say so myself….cat skills.
With love, your sis.
